Statistics Biology Course Students in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UB) and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) will begin a four-year, master’s degree in 2016 in the Molecular Biology of Tissue Biology Program. Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in biology or biology and are currently enrolled in the program will be required to complete the coursework at least one year in order to be eligible to graduate. Students must complete the course work at least one semester in order to graduate. The coursework must be completed with the student’s consent for a period of two years. The course work must be completed in the same semester as the bachelor’s degree. Student participants will be given information about the coursework, including the subjects covered. Students will also have the opportunity to respond back to the instructor/student and discuss the coursework with the instructor/students. The current coursework will be completed in two weeks. Students may choose to have a first class as part of their summer program or complete a second class. Students who need to complete a second semester of a coursework may elect to have a third class as a part of their spring program. Students who may need to complete one semester of a class (or two) may select a fourth class. Program The coursework will include: A basic biology course, followed by a basic chemistry course. Students will have the option to complete the biology course at least one week in order to complete the chemistry course. Students will have the opportunity for a two-week class in Biology. A two-week coursework will also include: A basic chemistry course, followed with a basic biology course. Students who are enrolled in the biology program can complete the chemistry class at least one semesters in order to take the chemistry class as a full-time job. Students who want to complete a chemistry class will have the same opportunity to complete the basic biology class as the biology class. Candidates wishing to graduate will be able to choose to complete the Chemistry Class, and then complete the Chemistry Course.
